The team at home for EWS#3

22 juin 2014

The French Ski resort Valloire welcomed EWS third round this weekend. And as announced this round was typically french.
The pilots were allowed to discover the stage by foot only on friday. The competition started on saturday and was based on 6 long stages (4 different tracks). For each stage, riders could train once right before racing. This particular format put everyone at the same level.
This alpine version enabled competitors to get up easily thanks to the lift but was also challenging in other ways... more than D-10 000m (descent) / 40kms cumulated / hard&very long stages / physically demanding / strong armsache!

Finally, the Scott SR Suntour Enduro Team comes out with quite good results. Thomas Lapeyrie and Rémy Absalon finished respectively at the 8th and 13th place. Elliot Trabac nicely took the 2nd Junior place (42th general ranking).
This weekend was hard at all levels for everybody with human and mechanical damages. Taking that into account, our team prudence paid off.

"Valloire set the bar high! I felt good in DH sections but unfortunately physically hard parts dominated. I really need to find the problem and bring myself up to the level." said Rémy Absalon
